This photo has been taken of the moon to show the detailed area of craters and the rocky terrain that covers our closest celestial body.
Due to the light of the sun falling on the moon when its full, none of these aspects are revealed as the relief of the moons shadow is filled in by our sun.
when the moon is progressing through from crescent moon to almost full where the Dark meets light is called the terminus .This is where you will see the most detail, the shadows giving you shape and form.

The Sun.

Taking photos of the sun has its dangers, this was achieved by using a special sun filter attached to lens first. Camera was a Nikon Coolpix P900 this has a massive 2000mm equivelant focal length and has flip out LCD screen. Enabling me to observe the sun in safety.
